Alexis Pellot, a devoted single mother, is raising two young boys, 3 and 7 —while also working as a firefighter and EMT.

​As part of the Habitat program, Alexis participated in homeownership and financial literacy courses. Through these, she grasped the significance of building savings and adopting a budgeting strategy that effectively allocates funds toward her future security—a way of paying herself forward.

The Pellot home will be a single-story home with three bedrooms, 1 1/2 bathrooms, and a total area of 1,192 square feet.
