Volunteer to Build with Habitat of Elkhart County
Construction volunteers work side-by-side with Habitat for Humanity staff, partner family homebuyers, donors, and other volunteers to build strength, stability, and self-reliance through shelter.
We always need individuals, corporate groups, faith groups, student groups – anyone & everyone wanting to make a difference with our families to help volunteer at our construction sites. No previous experience is necessary and all necessary tools are provided. We will provide on-site training for the jobs at hand and will find a job that suits your needs. If you would like to contribute to our build sites but do not want to lift a hammer, we also need volunteers to provide meals for our construction crews.
All volunteers must fill out a waiver form before volunteering with Habitat. Volunteers must be 16 or older; anyone younger than 18 needs a parent's signature on our minor waiver form and must have a printed-out waiver. 18+ may fill out the online waiver form to the right.
We build Tuesday through Saturday from 8:30 am to 4 pm. If you have any questions or want to volunteer, sign up online with the button to the right or call our office at (574) 533-6109.

Faith Volunteers
We welcome all faith beliefs as volunteers! If you are interested in getting your faith organization involved in a build or service project, please fill out the contact form so that our Volunteer Coordinator can contact you as soon as possible.
Habitat for Humanity is a Christian-based organization, but all beliefs are accepted at all of our volunteering opportunities.
