Penn High School Habitat for Humanity Club Raising the Roof on Harmon Family Home

Penn High School Habitat Club

ELKHART, IN—The Penn High School Habitat for Humanity Club raised the roof on our latest home in Elkhart County this past Saturday, November 16. They brought their usual high amounts of energy and enthusiasm to every task. In the last three months they have helped us finish a house and raise two roofs. These students don’t just bring great energy they also have a passion for helping others in their community.

The Penn High School Habitat for Humanity Club was created by students when the Penn Interact Club, dedicated to involving students in service projects, ended in 2005. The students at Penn wanted to start a Habitat club because their previous experience with Habitat was rewarding and enjoyable. The club has seen steady growth from a mere 15 members in 2005, to over 60 members this year.
